you're so right! i felt kind of overwhelmed myself by the thought of wonderland and all the wonders that this might include. so much wonder in a single flower : )
I have that kind of wonderland on my kitchen able right now, *5. it´s great:)
Funny! This is where my mind started, after passing this gorgeous rosebush and bending down to smell them!
So true! I've been drawing lots of flowers lately. They just suck me right in.My post about you is up today :) Hope you like it! http://maysmachete.blogspot.com/2009/05/artsy-lady-bloggers.html
i agreee! super!!! :)
This is a wonderful interpretation - and very wise. I sometimes have to remind myself not to be too greedy - I just want to gobble up the sights and sounds around me, and often it does not lead to contentment at all, but rather to that sense of being overwhelmed and overloaded, which youy mentioned. So, here is to the single flower!!
it's so true... i think the word wonderland can sometimes bring to mind grand images of fantasy, and yet, there is the wonderland right in front of us every day, in the simple grace of a beautiful flower...gorgeous artwork, color and words... love it :)
That is soo good and true!!! I didn’t have time to the drawing this week :( But I posted a picture of my "crazy wonderland" ;)Have a great weekend!
I just found your work in my first copy of Artful Blogging. Thank you for brightening my world!
Your work always makes me smile. So true!
that is sooo true! Beautiful work, beautiful thought. :)
Oh, I completely agree with this marvelous piece. I get easily overwhelmed and flustered. I think I'd much rather sit and get lost in the center of a flower. Or better yet, a piece of your art. Talk about wonderland!
i know the feeling... have a happy weekend!:)

There are tooooo many choices in our lives today. For example: You decide which coffeehouse to go to and upon entering are faced with a wall full of choices. Once you make your selection, there are even more things to decide like skinny or fat or whatever the heck they ask.(I never listen to all that stuff). I become overwhelmed and usually select the 'brew of the day'. There's a place where I can put in my own cream and sugar. And all for just wanting a simple cuppa...whew. I'm with you...there is genius in simplicity!
