i'm having a great time with this "make time" series - so much, in fact, that i think i'll do something totally self-indulgent this weekend. if you can carve out a day or an hour or a few moments this weekend what will you do for yourself?
> christy is giving away three letterpress matchbook calendars from the petite press
> thereza's bandit chickens landed on a darling pillow cover
> still time to drop your name in the hat for cecilia's moleskine giveaway
> please join me in leah's 2010 creative everyday
i'll have some fun updates in the next post, and maybe i'll even slide in a few pictures of the pathetic cookie houses we made this week!

Such an inspiring series, like all your artwork!
I've moved my art blog since yesterday and I also created a journal page that might look familiar to you. :-) I hope you don't mind, but you've inspired me to get some of my thoughts down with some of your sayings. I particularly love "Identity"!
i love this so much i'll interpret your blog post as a sign from Universe to do something self-indulgent right now :)
I think I'll be self indulgent this weekend too...xo
your fun and colorful artwork is a great reminder to be good to ourselves!! for me, at this point in the month of december, self-indulgence is defined as just being a zombie on the couch for twenty minutes!! hugs, :))
I like it! Most important. And thank you for shouting at my sketchbook!
I love this series! Why is it so hard for women ... and mother's especially ... to remember this?
And your cookie houses can't be any worse than my latest baking disaster. I made dairy-free sugar cookies since there are kids in my daughter's class with milk allergies. Let's just say the first batch turned out more like the blob instead of cookie dough. Sigh.
Second batch — with a different recipe — went better, but now I'm on the third with butter for my family. Sorry to all of those with lactose problems, but I like 'em better with butter!
show me your cookie house, please. I´m about to make one with my kids aswell:) thanks for the link:)
speaking of self-indulgence, bring on the cookie houses! if they're not pretty, which i'm sure they are, we'll eat them! enjoy your weekend!
have fun this weekend! :)
Just give up sleeping! Then I will have plenty of time to do it all. I had SUCH great plans for artsy stuff today. >:P
Love your reminder. Your creative doodles are so fun and colorful. I love to stop by your blog.
love this! a few extra hours and i would knit. happy friday...
Everything comes if a man will only wait........................................
Ok, you convinced me to take at least an hour for myself. I might go to a arts & craft fair.
I would just love to make time to make time...
well, i'll def be indulging on some magic cake and relaxing loads!!!! it's been an extra busy week, but i'm now back in blogland :)
Ooooooh, I hope you are having the most indulgent weekend! I hope you come back with some juicy tales.
I just did something totally self indulgent. I slept 10 hours! Wooohooooo!
I want to see the houses!
so many things, so many things... i guess ironing doesn´t count;) thanks for the links btw! happy sunday dear aimee!
i found time to go to the sea shore. that is worth a lot.
As usual your post has so many lovely links that I forgot to come back and leave a comment! Oh, I do make time for myself - in fact, for the last year (when work was thin on the ground) I had almost all my time to myself. Well, that includes L'Usband and Snous. What do I do with all this time? Read a LOT, watch lots of movies, create pictures and stuff, take pics, think ...
fun cookies, fun cookies. we want fun cookies.
I mean, pathetic cookies. yeah!!!
yes. why do we forget so often to make time for ourselves? why? you keep it up, chickadee, you're becoming my own private jiminy cricket. and I like it. :)
Congratulations Aimee, your a winner:)
Hello sweet, Aimee! I'm so very glad you'll be joining in the Creative Every Day Challenge in 2010. It's going to be a magical year! xox
G-sus girl I don´t have time for myself these days...working extra the next 14 days...9 hours today wrapping different gifts ...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Only energy for sofa and coffee...haha
Ha ha ! I like this one ! I printed it and put it on a wall in my office ;)
Well there's serendipity! I didn't see this until now, but at the weekend I escaped and spent a few days in York with friends - shopping, walking, cocktails, meals, hot chocolate - it was bliss.
You obviously tapped into some message from the cosmos!
These stems making is a fun and best gifts to share.
