I have never paid the moon the respect it deserves, but my daughter does. It fits her: dreamy, nocturnal, many shades and faces, has her own calendar. She has sought it in the sky ever since she could speak. Earlier this month she wanted to know the exact date of the full moon (today!) so I did my research & doodled a chart for her so she'd know when to expect it every month. Maybe I should start a new line of visual aids & call it Chartsyville.
(8x10 doodle print here for anyone else who gets all lunar over the moon too.)

Ooh i love this. I was actually wondering the other day when the next full moon was. Also I think the visual aids, Chartsyville, are an awesome idea :)
Is it too much to say I'm over the moon for this? I love it, and your daughters must love it too.
Fantastic! I love watching the moon.
i LOVE it! my dogs and i walk every night and when the days are shorter the moon is our companion. knowing when to expect a full moon in this format is so much more fun than squinting at my tiny calendar for the words "full moon".
This is so great! And I'm sure I'm not alone in my full support of Chartsyville!!
Genius. Pure genius.
i love the idea of more charts ... how fun!
I too have a soft spot for the moon. What a very cool resource for us moon lovers. Thanks so much!
This is too cool! I LOVE the full moons and what they bring. And I also love the idea of Chartsyville...you could do all kinds of creativity with that!
This is terrific! Every night I am out walking with the pooch. I love looking up to see that old moon pie ;) Yesterday and today were amazingly big and bright. I love your art:))
i love and loath fullmoon . there is something magical about it, i love watching it for hours its so beautiful it changes all the time... but it's not so much fun when it doesnt allow you to sleep and makes you rather moody.
love your chart! its fab!!! i should give one to the dh- so he can prepare himself for those bad days ;)
moon in her fullness,
aimee in her fullness.
reflected. tangible.

i LOVE this calendar!
brillllllliant! XOX
What fun!! And - yes - the moon is absolutely awesome these few days!!
My daughter would LOVE this too!
It's a beautiful poster!
she too has always looked out for the Moon and knows that when it's full her Gran doesn't sleep well...which could be why she has been up a few times!!!
HUGS and thanks for passing by my World recently.

Love this:O)
Ohhh I LOVE this! The reason WE keep track of the moons around here is because the cats go a little bonkers during a full moon. Seriously. So we always prepare for the extra energy, yowling, bouncing, neediness, etc.
Chartsyville!! Chartsyville!!! I love this . . .
Well dang! I've heard of a few of those moons but never knew each month had its own name. How cool is that?!? And the fact that we have an extra this year! Way wonderful. After all..This IS the dawning of the Age of Aquarius!!!
"When the Moon is in the Seventh House...and Jupiter aligns with Mars. Then peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars".
my Connor is also obsessed with the moon :)
Chartsyville! I love that! I'm a follow the moon girl myself, and we had such a gorgeous one last night.
Chartsyville...so cute! I had no idea there was such a way to identify the moons. My girls are a little "moony" over the moon themselves...it's still pretty special for them to get outside after dark. Love the new piece!
Lovely, who can resist? Your daughter must be a cancer (the sign ruled by the moon), or at least have it in her chart;)
This is awesome Aimee!! My daughter is going to love it. They have a project where they have to note the moon phases on their homework each day. How cool!!
oh wow, other than blue & harvest, i had no idea of the other ones. flower moon? i'll take it!
Chartsyille! Very appealing. I love lists, charts, visual aids, Venn diagrams, the works. And, of course, art.
oh I love this!!!!! And I didn´t know that the full moons have names according to their season and month...wow...
and in august we will have 2 full moons this yea, how awesome.
Wow, I had NO idea the moon had so many different names! This is so fabulous!
This is lovely. I used to be an avid moon follower, and such things were indespensible, so I am sure there would be other folks equally enthused. Your doodle style would be most apt too :) I see that August is due a 'blue moon' - you should look up the definition and history behind the naming of the 'blue moon' it is most 'illuminating' ;)
This is so cool! My friend and I just finished a full moon related project, too, here: http://mymoonyourmoon.blogspot.com/
OH MY GOD A HUGE YES TO CHARTSYVILLE. (cap lock intentional this time)
and yep, I own that suckah. it graces my kitchen wall as I write this.
