No glue here today... just a whole lot of chopping and creating studio debris :) We have a winner for Samie's Gelli Print class, and it is Terrie Purkey! Congrats, Terrie!
Also, I'm holding a giveaway on Instagram this week for a Xyron 5" Creative Station, 2 cartridges and 2 rolls of my washi tape! To enter, head over to Instagram, find me @artsyville and repost my giveaway photo with the tag #winartsyville. My apologies if you do not have an IG account to enter, but I need all the entries in one place to keep my sanity intact!
If you made something involving adhesives this week, link up below -- and if you are new this week, welcome! xo

A quick Wednesday hello to share a free Halloween printable with you: You've Been Ghosted! The labels come eight to a page. Print the sheets on orange paper, cut them out & put them on bags stuffed with candy & goodies, and indulge in some benevolent ding dong ditching around the neighborhood. (Now you know what we've been up to this week.)

The glue stix were uber busy this week whipping up samples for my Colorful Cutout Cards class next month at The Ink Pad in NYC! This is the fourth workshop I've taught there this year and I can't say enough how much I love this shop and the staff. This class is taking me back to my handmade card roots: I was an assistant buyer of stationery for Neiman Marcus in the 90s, when the handcrafted card industry was just starting to take off, and I've had more of my own handmade card lines over the years than I can count. I always burn out sooner or later when I do handmade cards for sale, though, so now I just make them for fun :)
A bit about the class, in case you're local and would like to come, is Tuesday, November 19 from 7-9:30 p.m. at The Ink Pad, 37 Seventh Ave in Greenwich Village. Cost is $35 and all you'll need is a good pair of scissors and a glue stick -- I'll provide everything else. We'll make colorful pages with my handmade stamps, cut shapes and letters (both freehand and with my hand drawn templates), and play with the layers to create 5 different card designs for the holidays.
Back on Friday with Samie's gelli print class winner (you can still enter here for that), and I'll tip my hand here a bit for another giveaway I'm having next week! (hint: it involves a Xyron creative station...) I will give you all the details on that one next Tuesday!
If you've had any sticky adventures this week involving tape or glue, link up with us for Glue it Tuesday!

Happy Monday! If you are a gelli print junkie, do I have a treat for you! Samie from Journal Girl is launching her Gelli Junk Print Journal class today and I get to give away a spot! She will cover a lot of ground in this class -- color blocks, patchwork, stencils, layers, abstracts, stitching, binding, and more. Her use of color is amazing and her instructional videos are fantastic! And -- since it is an open enrollment class, you can take it at your leisure. More details over in Samie Land.
If you'd like to enter the drawing, leave the following in a comment: 1) your name, 2) a way to reach you (link to blog or email address) and 3) your favorite color palette at the moment. I will draw a winner this Friday, October 25!

Just sent out the October issue of The Doodle News and it is a jam packed one! There is a new free Artsyville printable (the write-on bookmark), a list of some of my favorite art supplies, a roundup of some cool crafty & creative workshops going on in the mixed-media universe this fall, and more. This issue also features the doodle deal for October -- all of my 8x10 prints are 1/3 (!!) off this weekend only in the Print Parade Sale! Available in both shops: Etsy and Artsyville.com.
Also, I drew the winner for the copy of Dawn's new book The Doodle Circle and it is Kristen from Creative Stash! Thanks so much to everyone who entered.
Time to go rake the acorns...or pay the kids to do it! Happy weekend!

Happy Glue it Tuesday! I pulled out the journal & the glue stick this week for Life Book 2013. My main class, Inky Collage, was back in May, but I did a little bonus lesson this month, which will air next Monday morning if you are taking the course. Enrollment has already closed for Life Book 2013, but Tam has already opened the signups for Life Book 2014 with a great teacher lineup!
Back tomorrow with the winner of The Doodle Circle (you can enter here if you haven't already)!

Now it's my turn to host a hop! Dawn DeVries Sokol's new doodle book The Doodle Circle just hit the shelves, and I'm excited to get in on the frenzy surrounding it! I love all of her books, but I think this one might be the most adorable of them all. It is suited for kids and adults alike, and I love the collaborative spirit to it. Dawn sent me enough copies for my girls (7 and 10) to each have a BFF over for an afternoon & have a journal jam session. We made cookies (which I did not burn this time) and the girls took to the books with their arty minds and back & forth whispers. Of course I cannot reveal all of their BFF secrets, but I sneaked the camera into a few pages and here are a few of my favorites:
And now you can snag your own copy of it -- signed by Dawn! Just leave me a comment here and please make sure I have a way to reach you, either via e-mail or blog. I will draw a winner one week from today -- Wednesday, October 9. Good doodle luck!

I'm in crafty love with Stash tea boxes, and it is a very good thing because I have a slew of them from filling goodie bags & boxes. They are my go-to for storing nearly everything in my studio: tape, stickers, cards, spare parts, finished goods, and whatever else needs to be corralled. I have small stuff explosions on a daily basis around here and if I did not have these boxes to contain the mess, you would never find me. I love the colors of these boxes as they are, but they also beg for a bit of cut & paste action. You will be seeing a lot of these over the next few Glue it Tuesdays, as I have a lot of them to cover, and one of these days (in between stuff explosions) I'll do a stash stuff box tutorial!
Make sure to come back tomorrow -- it's my turn to host a hop and I'll be giving away a signed copy of Dawn's new doodle book The Doodle Circle!
