A Week of Free Printables (Day 7): Write-On Bookmarks ❤️ 💚 💛 💙 💜

Welcome to Day 7 of the Week of Free Printables! I'm sliding in here at the eleventh hour as the clock ticks quickly toward midnight, but a promise is a promise. I had another printable planned today, but something changed my mind and that was reading Ann Patchett's excellent Guide For Bookstore Lovers today in the New York Times. I guess I've always nurtured an unvoiced (until now) dream to visit as many indie bookstores as I possibly can in this life and world. I like the idea of this quest. So today's freebie is a brand new version of my write-on bookmark! Go here to get & print yours.

Tomorrow I will publish one bonus printable to end the week, and then The Color Blast newsletter will go quiet for a while. (Not for long -- just not every day!!) I'll still be here on my blog, though -- writing away & designing away and planning for a colorful new year!

A Week of Free Printables (Day 6): Creative Bingo ❤️ 💚 💛 💙 💜

Greetings from Artsyville & welcome to Day 6 of the Week of Free Printables! Remember my set of Creative Bingo cards? I had a blast designing these! The printed pack with 5 different designs are still available in the shop, but I'm now making Card #1 available as a free download here.  It's just a fun jumble of random creative prods to help kick-start your artistic groove. When playing Creative Bingo, you can go for the traditional five in a row if you want, but I highly recommend going to excess & playing the cover card version. M&Ms make excellent bingo markers!

See you tomorrow for Day 7! It might be another twilight posting, as my life will belong to a swim meet. If you've been there, you'll know this means a minimum of two hours of transportation and four hours of sitting to watch your child swim a total of three minutes, and it might even mean getting recruited to do something anxiety-inducing like timing races or marshaling kids into lanes, both of which are a complete assault on the creative brain. The first time I had to time, I stood there quaking with my stopwatch, missed my cue and was demoted to working the snack bar. I should just stick to art. Anyway, depending on how organized I am tomorrow, the printable will be either really early or really late. Or, to be more brief: it will be posted on Artsyville time!

A Week of Free Printables (Day 5): The All-Purpose Weekly Planner ❤️ 💚 💛 💙 💜

It's already Day 5 in the Week of Free Artsyville Printables! I'm sliding in here at the twilight hour with it, I know, but I was busy having a marvelous day with my daughter's fifth grade class at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and how could anyone possibly fault me for that? On the train there and home, I thought of even more printables that I want to design, so don't be surprised if there's a bonus day or two of the freebies next week! :)

Today you get a freshly spiffed up version of my All Purpose Weekly Planner. This is one of my favorites because it's so versatile. I've used this for meal planners, music practice, workouts --  you name it! You can download the All Purpose Weekly Planner here. I'd love to know what you use it for!

By the way, my friend Raine from Lime Tree Fruits just kicked off her week of Printables Galore!  Did you see her gorgeous freebie self-care printable today? You can sign up for her list here

Check back tomorrow for Day 6. Yep, I work weekends!

A Week of Free Printables (Day 4): Idea Cards ❤️ 💚 💛 💙 💜

Happy Thursday and welcome to Day 4 in the Artsyville week of free printables! Today -- idea cards! This was one of my original stack pack designs and now I'm offering it as a free printable. They are about the size of a business card -- big enough to jot down big ideas but small enough that you can plaster them all over your planner or wall with snippets of washi tape. Load up that printer with colorful cardstock, then print, cut & brainstorm away!

You can find the Idea Printable here.

By the end of this week I'll create a one stop shop for all my free printables on the sidebar so you won't have to hunt and peck through the posts to find them all.

Until tomorrow!

A Week of Free Printables (Day 3): Recipe Cards! ❤️ 💚 💛 💙 💜

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of A Week of Free Printables! Today I have two for you: 4"x6" recipe cards, Artsyville style! Pick up a stack of colorful cardstock at the craft store, load up your printer, go here and here to download, and print away. Trim around the borders with a paper cutter (scissors will work, of course, but a paper cutter will give it a nice clean edge).

I'd love to see pictures of your recipes!! Not only will it give me a kick to see my printables in action, but I'm always in desperate search for new dinner ideas. Tag me on Instagram as @artsyville if you want to share a pic!

Come back tomorrow for another colorful printable!

A Week of Free Printables (Day 2): 2017 Coloring Page ❤️ 💚 💛 💙 💜

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of my Week of Free Printables! This one is for planner lovers, as well as those who are ready to leave this year behind in the dust. My 2017 Flipside Calendar sold out last week, so I'm making the front design available as a free coloring page. Print and color away as much as your heart desires!  (For personal use only -- no commercial reproduction and no alterations to the design, please, as I still hold the copyright to this and all of my other printables.)

You can download the 2017 Artsyville Coloring Page here!

AND... bonus...

My dear pal Raine of Lime Tree Fruits is also hosting her own week of free printables! She designs the juiciest, most mouthwatering planner printables I've ever seen. Truly amazing. Once you go over there you may never want to leave. You can sign up for her list here. Just come back & visit Artsyville once in a while, OK?

Back to packing orders, cleaning up the Art Pit (current state = abominable) and preparing for Day 3 of Free Printables... see you tomorrow!

A Week of Free Printables (Day 1): To/From Tags ❤️ 💚 💛 💙 💜

Get your colorful cardstock and printer ready! I'm going to post a free printable each day this week. The To/From tags are a popular favorite from years past, probably because to/from tags never go out of style. Go here to get & print the tags. Make sure you use the print icon within Google Drive (upper left hand side) to ensure a proper print. If you try to do it from your web browser, it does strange things.

And yes, we managed to dump an insane number of leaves into the street before night fell yesterday, just before the first snowfall arrived. It was a monthlong job done in one day (my aching and aging self is paying the price this morning), but at least fall is officially done in our backyard, and I felt no guilt whatsoever hunkering down with a glass of wine and two episodes of House of Cards last night.

Come back tomorrow for another printable surprise!

it's the most colorful time of the year!

The holiday sale in Artsyville continues! Thank you all for keeping me busy at the packing and shipping table. It is colorful and festive and lively in the Art Pit, just the way I like it. There's nowhere else I'd rather be at this time of year. I am grateful for each and every order.

If you missed the first announcement, you can get a preview of the new goods here and go directly to the shop here. The 2017 Flipside Calendars and Fill in the Blank Easel cards are going fast!

Once again the Holiday Sale codes are...

FIVEBUCKS for $5 off a purchase of $30 or more
TENBUCKS for $10 off a purchase of $50 or more
THIRTYBUCKS for $30 off a purchase of $100 or more

Cheers!

it's a really, really, really long preview tour of the 2016 Artsyville Holiday Shop (get hot chocolate, or some kind of drink, and a chair!)

It's the most colorful time of the year! Should you be in need of an Artsyville fix, one is coming your way Monday when the shop doors open once again! Confetti and ink and paper and paint and yarn have been flying around the Art Pit (my new name for the art studio) for the past month making goodies to stuff in the shop.

Ready for the sale codes? They are:
FIVEBUCKS for $5 off a purchase of $30 or more
TENBUCKS for $10 off a purchase of $50 or more
THIRTYBUCKS for $30 off a purchase of $100 or more

Want a tour of the new stuff? There's a lot, so come on in, have a seat, grab a cup of hot chocolate and  read on...

Fill in the Blank Easel Cards -- I'm so excited about these little easels. I originally made them for my kids and we had such a blast filling them in that I decided to make packs of them for the shop. They are the size of ATCs; simple, low key and not intimidating. Just simple invitations to create a little something every day.

New stack pack designs -- ten of them! Why did I not have a stack pack design with an all purpose gift on it before this? I've fixed that, and now we have All Wrapped Up.

Ditto for Birthday Cakes.

Bike Ride was inspired by an enormous, clunky, adorable purple beach cruiser that I used to get around the Jersey Shore for two weeks this summer.

This one reminds me of a little sprite I know who will try anything, take on any challenge, and sees no barriers. She just flies. Fly Birdie Fly.

Groovy Daisy is for those who walk the flower power path...

And Instant Garden is for everyone, including those who love gardens but can't keep one alive. These need no water.

Who couldn't use a little Love Mail?

Or a good old fashioned Paper Airplane?

Or a little Peace of Mind?

And if all else fails, we always have the Sunrise (and sunset).

All of the other stack pack designs from last year will be back, including a limited number of Christmas Tree & Ornaments. These are the perfect size for To/From tags.

Now we're on to Permission Tickets... remember these? I have two new sets with fresh designs to accompany the original mix.

Mix 2 has a smattering of designs from the original mix (I shuffled things around a bit) but most of these are fresh from the drawing table. Aside from an Eyeroll at the Universe, there are lots of uplifting and motivational tickets in this pack.

Mix 3 is my personal favorite because they are all creativity themed! Not that creative people need or wait for permission to do anything, of course, but these do act as a convenient nudge or prod into a change of thinking or doing.

Next up... Mini Magic Word Tiles! These are the tiny square prints (1 1/4"ish) that are super versatile little things. You can use them for creative prompts, daily mantras, bookmarks, lunch box notes, motivators, whatever you wish. Mixes 1, 2 and 3 were the sleeper hits of the last two holiday shops. They'll be back, along with a few new ones:

Mix 4 (above) is a delightful new random jumble of words;

The Motivation Mix will keep you and your resolutions company in the new year;

and the Travel Mix will make a good companion on your adventures.

Now things take an interesting turn. I've been obsessed with crocheting for a long time, but I've gotten exceptionally fixated lately on making little wrist cuffs that I call Wrist Toasters because that is exactly what they do, and they give the wrist a nice kick of color to boot. Before I realized it I had more Wrist Toasters than I knew what to do with, so I decided to put them in the shop & see what happens. Before I could do that, though, I had to solve a dilemma: how was I going to keep track of which one was which? The solution was obvious: to name each one after an 80s song. I've never had so much fun listing items in the shop. It has been one gloriously long eighties songfest around here. Even my husband said he can't get his work done because he can't get my playlist out of his mind.

The toasters are sized from XS to XL, and each of the individual listings will have a measurement guide to make sure you get the right fit.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Blue Jean (David Bowie)

Karma Chameleon (Culture Club)

Love Shack (B52s)

Pretty in Pink (Psychedelic Furs)

Purple Rain (Prince)

The Promise (When in Rome)

The Tide is High (Blondie)

True Colors (Cyndi Lauper)

Closing out now with two familiar friends:

It wouldn't be a new year in Artsyville without the 2017 Follow the Full Moons calendar. We all need to know when those full moons will be so we can blame our bad moods accordingly. This year I only have 8x10 prints -- sorry, no magnets! The calendars make great gifts, so if you envision yourself needing more than one, I recommend going for the five pack option -- the print price goes down from $16 to $10 each.)

And finally...

The Flipside Calendar is back for 2017! It's 5''x7" with the year at a glance on the reverse, and laminated on both sides. Handy, colorful, durable and portable.

If you made it to the end, yay you! Thanks for your dedication and perseverance. If you choose to shop in Artsyville this holiday season, thank you for supporting my small business and for bringing my artwork into your home. Big hugs, and I will be back here soon dusting off my rusty writing chops. (Sooner than you might think.)
